So Good to be Back at HATS!

May 26, 2017 Posted by Karen Huxter 5 Comments

Back home in Haiti. It is good to be back.

Glad you are back Mama Karen, Luc, and Mariah

Hugs for brother Luc who was away for two months

Lots has happened since the last blog. Luc and I visited in Ontario on our way back to Haiti. We had an awesome time with good friend, Beate, and with long time friend, Lynne, both reside in Toronto, as well as with friends, Maxi and Laurie, friends from long ago, in Windsor. We were spoiled by them all and we relaxed a lot. Being with our wonderful family in Calgary is good but not relaxing. It is go, go, go.

Friends from Windsor

Mariah met us in Montreal and we returned to Haiti together. It is so good to have Mariah here with us again, delightful and fun. Everyone here at HATS loves her and she them. The children were obviously very happy to see all three of us arrive, but were actually thrilled to see Luc again. Luc is very glad to be back and he and his Dieunel are once again separated only in the mornings when Dieunel is in school. These two have a very close relationship.

We are almost at the mission. Yay.

Arriving in the middle of mango season makes it even better. Nothing better than big juicy mangos falling off the trees in the yard. Mango juice, dishes of mango for snacks, etc.

This is yummy mango season

Yay, Mangos

We have taken the children out for a walk and fun play time each afternoon. It makes for a special time for all of us.

Next week another friend, Sara-May Cardy of Brentview Baptist in Calgary, will join us for a week. Good times ahead.
