We are back in Haiti this time it was pretty smooth sailing.

We arrived on Monday and are already doing things that need attention. Heather went down to work with Ti Fi right away. She is doing a great job of therapy with her and also helps Ti Luc a lot. Heather is good with all the children.

Linda has not been here for five years. Not seeing what has happened in five years was overwhelming. Linda had not seen the school since we added on past grade 3. Here we are adding 12. She hadn’t seen the principal’s office or the new Church and the new location of our kitchen.

I have not noticed as much improvements/changes as Linda has. I helped on most of these projects. So most of the time I come and help the adding on so the increase was gradual. That is why I was not as moved as Linda but still moved.

Today, Tuesday, we started the day with pancake breakfast and devotions. Then off to work. Linda, Keith and Karen started pictures at the school and student letters. Joan was working on sorting out sponsored sponsors before our arrival and is continuing.

Preschool plus grade one was about 160 plus kids- ages 3 to 6 dressed in their cute uniforms. There are about 400 pictures to do. It looked like controlled chaos! To me anyway.

I happened to find something to do around here. There was 6 inches of water in the boys shower. Looks like a good place to start. Oh the tap is stripped as well. Might as well fix that. Being stuck in cement I had to chisel it out. First projects one and two done. Next looked at the water cooler leaking in admin building.

Ti Luc was holding it while I took it apart. Coolers are not my fortay. Look at it again later. Fixed the tap in girls building will fix the sink tomorrow. Can’t do it all in one day. Karen will find more! Need a break soaking wet.

Coming back to Haiti is always an experience in itself. It always makes me realize how fortunate we are and how much we take for granted. I say it every time I come here and will say it again. I think all our kids need to experience
this so they can see how lucky they are, or are they? Having too much might be a disadvantage. Not appreciated! I can’t change the world I know. But I can make a difference in a life. I also know that.
