Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Charitable Society

The board of directors at HATS just love getting letters like this one…

As the current President of the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Charitable Society, I had asked our Board to consider a one-time grant to HATS to cover one Elementary Student, one High School student and one Teacher for a year – for a total of $2500. The Board agreed and I now have a cheque in my position to forward to you.

However in light of the devastation that Hurricane Mathew has wreaked on Haiti, at my request the Board approved today that I remove the education stipulation and allow HATS to use the funds where it is most needed. I trust the organization will use the funds wisely as you see fit.

My only request in return, is for a picture of some of the children, holding a thank you sign to the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Club that I can share back with the organization (sounds like a good project for you to do for me Keith)!

Hoping HATS was not significantly impacted by the Hurricane.

Best wishes.

Lorne M. Wight
President

Needless to say the organization was very appreciative. See previous blogs about the Hurricane relief. Browse the website to see how to emulate the example set by the Rotary Club.

Thank you very much Lorne and associates. Mèsi anpil!!

By the way…… Lorne is my brother!!
