HATS is a Little Piece of Heaven on Earth

February 5, 2014 Posted by Keith Wight 5 Comments

This is my last blog for a little while. My vacation is coming to an end!!

After nearly 5 weeks it is time to go home and see my Canadian family. I have certainly enjoyed my time here at HATS and I will be returning with my wife Joan in the fall.

This orphanage and school are amazing and is a little piece of heaven on earth for these kids. Their future is bright and filled with potential.

Thank you Karen for your hospitality and for the amazing job you have done here over the past 19 years.

(Someone should write a book about you.)

Karen you are a remarkable lady and an inspiration to us all.

Karen

It’s all about these kids.
Orphans today and Haiti’s leaders tomorrow!!

Great pictures of all the children. Best picture I have seen of Tifi. She really looks happy.
Thanks Keith for all your work. Who is going to make sure Karen is in before curfew if you are not around? Maybe we will overlap someday, that would be nice.

Yes, Keith, I think Karen is an amazing woman but then, she has good support from some amazing people like you and Joan. And, Yes, Keith – someone should write a book on Karen and I think, you are just the person to do it. What do you think???

Lovely pic of Karen – thanks for sharing! Your blogs make Haiti come alive to those of us who cannot go – thank you!!

Have a good & safe trip back home.
God bless you & Joan and those you love. Maxi & Laurie

Keith, we will miss your daily blog and your sense of humor. Thank you for all the work you did for HATS and for loving the children and pouring into their lives! Thank you for being there as a HUGE help for Karen. Hope you get a few good snowstorms after you get home to get your shoveling muscles in shape, I am sure Joan will be glad to have you back.

Someone should definitely write a book about you Karen. I love seeing where your faith has brought you and the precious kids. I'm sure they will all miss you Keith!
