Disaster Relief

Hands Across the Sea is an important member of the local community in the Artibonite Valley. People of the area look to us when disasters strike, for emergency support and for help in coordinating donations for those who need it most. We supported the people of Haiti through the aftermath of Tropical Storm Jeanne in 2004, through the earthquake of 2010 and the resulting cholera outbreak. The latest disaster is Hurricane Matthew. You can read more about the devastation in this recent CBC news article – Hurricane Matthew’s Devastating Wake.

In partnership with Radio Creole, we invite you to join us in coming alongside local Haitians who are are giving of their time and money to help their fellow citizens when disaster strikes.
